Booking Your London Move
Start by completing our online enquiry form or booking a free home/video survey. We'll send a no-obligation quote with a simple online acceptance process. Once accepted, payment is taken and your move is confirmed in writing. We’ll then coordinate your moving date based on availability.
We recommend booking at least 3 weeks in advance, especially during busy summer months. If you’re moving sooner, contact us—we’ll always do our best to accommodate you.
We don’t hold provisional bookings due to high demand. However, submitting an enquiry early helps us prepare your quote and check availability, so you’re ready to confirm once your date is final.
Yes—free of charge with at least 10 working days’ notice. Late changes may incur fees, as outlined in our cancellation policy. This helps us run efficiently and support our clients and staff.
It’s simple:
- Complete the enquiry form and tell us about your move
- We’ll book a free home or video survey
- You’ll receive a fixed, no-obligation quote shortly after

Skip the form and book a survey straight away—either in person or via video call (including WhatsApp). After the survey, we’ll send a tailored, fixed quote. Click here to book a survey.
Estimates help you budget and plan early. For larger or more complex moves, an in-person survey is best. After assessing your needs, we’ll send a clear, fixed quote—no surprises.
Key delays are common. We include a grace period in your quote. After that, an hourly charge applies. We recommend confirming timings with your solicitor to minimise risk.
Midweek moves (Mon–Thurs) typically offer better availability and pricing. We also operate on Saturdays, and bank holiday moves can be arranged on request.

Storage Services
We offer a range of secure storage services in North London, specialising in containerised storage—a much easier way to store than traditional self-storage.
We can drive up to and load directly into the storage containers, with no long walks, pushing trolleys down corridors, and no lifts to load and unload. Your goods remain sealed and protected from handling until they’re returned to you.

Very secure. Our North London warehouse is equipped with CCTV, security
fencing and controlled access. Only trained Redpath staff handle your goods—
there’s no public or shared access to your containerised storage.
We also operate a dedicated self storage section within the facility for customers who prefer to bring and access their own items. Both areas are professionally managed and equally secure.

Access is by appointment only, ideally with one week’s notice, we will of course do our very best to provide access sooner if you’re unable to give a weeks notice (subject to availability) so we can retrieve your container from storage. Providing sufficient notice ensures your access is safe, efficient, and professionally managed.
If you’re using our self storage option, you can access your unit during the working week from 9am to 5pm—perfect if you need frequent or flexible access. We just ask that you give us 1 working day’s notice.

declare the value, and our liability will cover against risks like fire, flood, or theft. Alternatively, you may be able
to transfer your household or business insurance to our storage facility or arrange separate cover yourself. Our team
will guide you through the available options when booking.

Overseas Moves
Each country has its own list of restricted and prohibited items. These can include
perishables, flammables, certain electronics, and high-risk goods. Our team will advise you
on what’s not allowed and guide you through any required declarations or documentation.
Costs typically include shipping (by sea or air), packing, customs clearance, import duties
or taxes, and any storage or handling fees. We provide a detailed quote with no hidden
extras—so you know exactly what to expect.
Transit times vary by destination and method. Air freight is faster (typically 1–2 weeks),
while sea freight can take 4–8 weeks depending on the route. Customs clearance and local
delivery may also affect final timings.
We recommend full transit insurance for peace of mind. Policies can cover loss, damage, and
storage risks. We’ll walk you through the valuation process and help you select the right
level of cover.
Yes, but we advise using a professional Export Packing Service for international moves to meet customs and
insurance requirements. Our expert team offers full or partial packing, with export-grade
materials and an inventory for customs.
Possibly. Each country sets its own rules. Some offer duty-free import of used household
goods; others impose taxes or require paperwork. We’ll clarify your destination’s
regulations and ensure you're well prepared.
Protection During Your Move
We use thick moving blankets, wardrobe cartons, protective covers and, where necessary,
purpose-built wooden cases. Rest assured, we’ll always treat your goods with care and keep
everything secure.
If you’ve decided to pack your own goods, we can provide packing materials and advice on how to safely pack your items—but you can leave the large furniture and bulky items to us.

We can supply carpet protection as required. Where necessary, we’ll also cover doors and
banisters. Every care will be taken to ensure your property is not damaged during the
moving process.
Preparing for Moving Day & Logistics
If you're packing yourself, make sure everything is boxed, labelled, and ready before we arrive.
Unplumb any appliances and dismantle furniture early if you're doing it yourself. Clear hallways and
pathways, and keep personal valuables—like passports, jewellery, cash, and important documents—in
a safe place, as these aren’t covered by our liability.

a time estimate for your move on request once we have completed the survey.
If you’ve chosen to have your goods moved under our liability we can accept liability for loss or damage
up to £30,000 per load (please see terms for details). Or, if you have chosen to use your own

Insurance & Liability
Yes, we are, and we can accept liability for your furniture and effects up to £30,000 per load if required
(this amount can be increased upon request). You can reduce the costs of your move if you have your own
